Welcome to the Local Housing Solutions Online Training
This online training consists of two self-paced online modules. Each course takes approximately 1h 15min to complete. The first module, Core Concepts, reviews core concepts of housing affordability, including how to define affordable housing, why the market does not produce enough housing people can afford, and what localities can do to begin to address this critical issue. The second module, Developing a Strategy, provides a more detailed overview of how localities can develop a more comprehensive local housing strategy to achieve their goals related to housing affordability, housing quality, and other issues.
How to Use the Local Housing Solutions Online Training
This is a self-paced online training. You may choose to complete either or both of the two modules. The first module is particularly well-suited for public officials and others who are new to affordable housing. The second module is intended for users ready to dive into more detail on developing a comprehensive local housing strategy.
